It was the Summer of 2017 and we were returning to Alaska from picking up a trailer in Elkhart, Indiana. The trailer was to be our "pilgrimage rig" when George retired in 4 or 5 years after a 40 year career in finances. Well, God said "Why wait?" and retirement came a year later. So, we answered the "pilgrimage" call in October of 2018, spent the better part of 2019 preparing the rig and headed down to the lower 48 on our pilgrimage to discover Catholic waypoints in America in November, 2019.
We were priviledged to take our 17 year old son, Blaise, along for the first year of discovering Catholic Waypoints in America. He is now a student at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.
God Works in Mysterious (and Wonderful) Ways
The most important lesson learned throughout the 12 month preparation period was that this pilgrimage will happen in God's time, not ours. Our new ministry "Finding Sacred Spaces" officially began on January 5, 2020. We invite all to join us on this spiritual pilgrimage. As always, our prayers are with you and we humbly ask you to keep us in your prayers as well.
